1st spanish lesson(translated๐Ÿ˜‚)

Today was super cool! We had a lesson with this wonderful lady and we had a good friend from out ward there and they both speak Spanish. My companion and I don't. As we were teaching she only understands a little English so the Sister from our ward helped translate certain words. BUT when she just straight up taught to her in Spanish it was way more powerful to the lady we are teaching then it was for us to teach cause she could actually understand the Sister from our ward! So so cool and she said she left her catholic church and beliefs 2 years ago cause she didn't feel the members of her church had "THE LIGHT" and she said she loved our church and it makes her so happy to come to our church!

Ask and ye shall recieve!

We were going up to a less active members house and we had just missed them. We talked to their husband a tiny bit but he wasn't too interested. Then as we were going to get in the car we decided to go knock the house that we parked in front of and it turns out they have never heard of our church before and haven't been to church in a long while since they've moved down here. We invited them to church and they said that would be cool! Also they had a pumpkin spice scented house and it smelt amazing! Haha just a cool bonus, gotta love some pumpkin spice.๐Ÿ˜ OH it was also cool cause it's the end of the week and we made a goal this morning to find two new people today and this lady and her husband are now two new people to teach and help bring them closer to christ!

Wait go back!!!

So after dinner tonight we were driving to the church and Elder hancock was talking about how we can be in tune to spiritual promptings and we drove past a street and all the sudden elder hancock feels he needs to turn around and visit a certain house we drove past. So we go back and meet this awesome man who didn't know anything about the Book of Mormon. We left him with one and he was really interested in learning more! Such a cool experience and I definitely know that there are blessings from following ANY and ALL spiritual promptings.

If at first you dont succeed.. tire tire again

So today we were at Wall E World (Wal-Mart) and we heard this lady's car and it didn't sound too good. Her tire is as flat as possible so we walk up to her and offer help and so does this other guy. So we all say a prayer together and then get out our tools, and thankfully we had just the right scissor jack for her car. So the guy and the lady take the tire to get a new one or get it fixed. They were gone for quite a while and finally they made it back after 3 different tire shops. Nobody would help them but they managed to borrow slime and patch the tire and she was able to go about her day safely. Such a cool experience with expressing charity. I love getting the opportunity to help all those around me and it just brings me such joy to know I was able to help this lady in a time of need, where she could've gotten stranded with a flay tire and no way to raise her car to remove the tire.

CHRIS!

Such a cool day we had exchanged back with the Freeport elders and been at Walmart doing some public contacting. As we were sitting in our car reporting, getting ready to leave, we see Chris get out of his car! Chris is such an awesome guy! We had been teaching him and reading the BoM with him but a few weeks ago he decided he didn't wanna meet with us for a bit cause it's wasn't really his time. Then today he told us he's missed meeting with us and he hasn't even been going to his church that much. He said we can have another appointment tomorrow morning with him and he'd love to come to church with us this Sunday instead of going to his usual one.

Trainer follow ups and TIWI

Today we had follow-up trainers and so we went to Prattville and I got to see everyone that came out to the mission the same time as me and that was fun. I also got my TIWI card with pretty much is how I can log into my car and so I now am I allowed to driveee! All together it was a great day and I learned a lot about how to set a goal for me as a missionary and how to stay determined on following my "mission constitution" oh and I got Chick-fil-A and went shopping!

People want to hear us

Ok so today we went to this less active member and they haven't been taught in forever. When we talked to him he told us that missionaries haven't come by for 3 YEARS. We live less than half a mile away. That made me sad but it was really cool we got to speak with him and he said we could come by as often as we want. And his neighbors have NEVER met with missionaries or even heard of our church very much and it was so cool to teach them. They were so interested in learning more. And we are gonna help them load into a Uhaul this Saturday. It was such a miracle to see so many different people be so willing to hear our short message. And I think it was an answer to my prayers that people would understand the importance of our words and of the restored Church of Jesus Chirst of Latter Day Saints.

Panda and Jeremiah's

Our dinner tonight accidentally double booked their night so they just gave us cash and it was very generous of them to do! We ended up getting Panda Express and it was very very good today! And I got a quart of Pina colada shaved ice/ vanilla ice cream gelati from Jeremiah's Italian ice. Just a small little blessing because I wanted Jeremiah's and Elder Hancock really loves Panda.

Hurricane weather

Today was pretty cool! Both with experiences and with the weather. So pretty much we were worried about a hurricane ๐ŸŒ€ but all we got was rain. Everyone was safe in our areas which was a blessing. We ended up doing a ton of service today! 5 hours total both in the morning and at night, all with helping the Carlson family load up a uhaul. So that was a miracle we got to give them. We did a lot of tetris with just about every possible thing you could fit into a uhaul. Lots of climbing, pushing, lifting, and sweating.  I think the weather made people happier cause it wasn't as hot. So many people at Walmart were willing to stop and talk and we had a lot if good conversations. People actually started driving up to us and talking to us. We also found this really cool guy right as we were about to get in our car and he wanted to learn more and maybe come to church soon!

PICKLEBALL

Today was a P day so we didn't do much but we did wake up to go play pickleball for 5 hours and it was a ton of fun and we somehow had energy all day lol. It was a great day and we got to meet with an amazing ward family for dinner. I'm still trying to learn the wards names๐Ÿ˜‚

Missionary timing

So today we had dinner at 6 and we were knocking some doors for follow up lessons but unfortunately our friends weren't home and it was 10 min till 6. We were about to leave when we decided to knock the houses nearby and at first we had 3 people tell us no but the 4th door we talked to the lady there and she said she wasn't interested but as we kept talking she gained interest and offered us some amazing cinnamon cookies. Then we gave here a BoM even though st first she said she didn't want one. And she told us as we were leaving that she was super happy she talked to us and thanked us for taking the time to teach her instead of just leaving after the first time she said no. Such a cool experience and we still made it to dinner right at 6. I'm so glad we took the time to put forth a little extra effort to endure the heat and know 4 doors instead of being maybe 5 min earlier to dinner.

Done but not Finished

Today we were at Walmart, or as we like to call it Wall E World, and we were kinda getting our butts kicked. Not very many people would talk to us. BUT when we were on our way back to our car we stopped to talk to this girl and she said she wanted to learn more and was willing to read the BoM. We gave her a call later in the day and she said she would read 3 Nephi 11 by Tuesday and that we can call her to follow up on how it went. And then at the end of the call she told us she was actually super happy that she was able to meet/ talk with us today.

Elder Hancock back in time

Welcome back to another miracle, today Elder Hancock my wonderful companion/ trainer/ district leader was able to see his home teacher from when he was a boy. When Elder Hancock was 10-13 he lived here in Niceville and tonight we had dinner with them. It was also a funny scenario because the Sister missionaries who live next door to us also scheduled dinner with them at the same time. Such an amazing meal and an awesome 4 missionary lesson about having an eternal perspective.

Small but powerful

Such a cool miracle today! We were about to teach a lesson about receiving personal revelation and acting on promptings but before we could even teach the lesson we started with a prayer and in the prayer we included that he would be able to find his TV remote and right after the prayer my companion Elder Hancock and I instantly felt that it was under the couch so we right away lifted up the couch and sure enough it was right there! Such a small thing to find but so cool to see that we both felt a prompting and were able to help someone by acting on it.
